How It All Began

It was a peaceful, sunny Saturday with absolutely nothing to do. I grabbed my super toolbox and headed out to build a treehouse. I mean, honestly... what could possibly go wrong?

Ha, so that's it...

Yeah, nothing could go wrong... except, of course, for THE STUPID BRANCH SNAPPING OFF!

And it just keeps getting better...

Oh, of course! I just HAD to land butt-first in the glue pot. Seriously, I can't even imagine how I didn't see THAT one coming!

Now I’m officially screwed

Watching these hungry ants, I started to realize a few things... Maybe I shouldn't have hidden all the food they were eating. Maybe I shouldn't have tried to exterminate them last week. And obviously, MAYBE I SHOULD HAVE JUST STAYED IN BED TODAY!!!

Starting Weapon, aka "The Hand"

Your starting weapon—which is just your bare hand, by the way—has a pretty pathetic range. Try clicking only within the area marked in the image above. On the bright side, you’ll hear their tiny screams much better. Isn't that just lovely?

Level Up & Gear Up

By squashing enough of those creepy crawlies, you’ll eventually level up. This lets you rummage through the toolbox for 'better' gear. The first thing I grabbed was a rock... yeah, a literal rock. But hey, I know there’s cooler stuff in there; I just have to keep searching while I still have all my fingers!

Ready to rock

To use the rock, just drag it from the toolbox at the bottom of the pause menu into one of the three slots above. Now you're ready to 'rock and roll'... Terrible pun, right? Sorry, I tend to make bad jokes when I'm about to be eaten alive.

Pure Focus

If I tap into my legendary patience (you know, pressing the button wepons no cooldown in pause menu), I can enter a state of total focus. In this mode, I can hurl stones like a machine gun without stopping! Turns out a simple rock can be a weapon of mass destruction... who knew?

Overcharged with Life

I can also use that 'absolute concentration' to calm my nerves (by hitting the Recover some Health button). I’d laugh at myself if I said that out loud, but surprisingly, it works! I can even end up with more health than I started with—a total 'overheal.' Who would’ve thought those meditation classes I took—voluntarily, of course, and definitely not because of a court order—would actually be useful one day?

Tremble Before Me!

Of course, if you don’t happen to have infinite patience, you can always use the No-Ads Reward option from the home screen. It’ll leave those little pests shaking in their tiny boots! Who knew a bit of 'divine intervention' could be so terrifying?
